From December 16th to 18th, the 2024 GGII Hydrogen Power Annual Conference was grandly held at the Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Airport Hotel. Dr. Wang Ying, the general manager of EVE Hydrogen Energy, was invited to attend the CEO Annual Dialogue and gave a wonderful sharing on the iterative innovation and future trends of AEM hydrogen production technology.
With the theme of "Opportunities Emerging from Changes, Brilliance Forged through Resilience", this conference focused on hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, application, as well as fuel cell materials, equipment, components, stack systems and complete vehicles. More than 800 enterprise leaders and industry experts from the entire hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry gathered together to celebrate this grand event.
During the CEO Annual Dialogue session, Dr. Wang Ying said, "As the third-generation water electrolysis hydrogen production technology, AEM water electrolysis combines the advantages of ALK and PEM, such as low cost, small size, high efficiency and fast response. However, currently, domestic AEM enterprises are all restricted by factors such as the poor stability of core components (AEM membranes), lack of actual measurement and verification, and relatively high overall costs, which make it impossible for AEM hydrogen production to conduct an economic comparison with ALK and PEM in a short period of time. In the long run, within three to five years, the comprehensive cost of AEM hydrogen production will be no more than 1.5 times that of ALK, mainly reflected in the cost reduction efforts of core components such as bipolar plates and membrane electrodes."
In addition, at the 2024 GGII Golden Globe Awards Ceremony, as a new-generation leader in the hydrogen energy and fuel cell field, Dr. Wang Ying won the "2024 GGII Golden Globe Award - Person of the Year 2024 - New Generation Leadership Award 2024" by virtue of his innovative thinking and industry influence in the AEM hydrogen production field.
