On March 26-28, EVE Hydrogen Energy and the world's first 100kW AEM hydrogen production electrolysis cell made a grand appearance at the Beijing 2024 China Hydrogen Energy Exhibition, jointly exploring the development trends and potential opportunities in the forefront of hydrogen energy.

AEM electrolysis hydrogen production technology combines the dual advantages of high performance PEM and low cost ALK. The 100 kW AEM electrolytic cell independently developed and designed by EVE Hydrogen has elevated the technical level of this route to a new level, and is an important sign that domestic AEM electrolytic cells are once again moving towards higher power.

This set of the world's first 100 kW AEM electrolysis cell has excellent electrolysis water hydrogen production effect, with a load adjustment range of 10-120%, which can be flexibly adjusted according to actual needs to achieve the best energy consumption ratio. The working current density reaches 10000 A/㎡, the operating pressure can reach 1.6 MPa, and efficient hydrogen production is achieved using a self-developed membrane electrode system.

The single tank in the picture adopts a lightweight design, with a volume of only 380 × 480 × 1200 mm, and the weight of the tank is only 1/4 of that of a traditional ALK alkaline electrolysis tank under the same power.

Compared to the past 1kW and 10kW electrolytic cells, the 100kW AEM electrolytic cell product launched this time has important significance in connecting the past and the future. It not only has technical advantages in load range, hydrogen production current, and product size, but also frees the AEM hydrogen production technology from the experimental research stage in a single cell scale. It can truly enter the real and broad application scenarios of industrial hydrogen and renewable energy green hydrogen production.

Based on 100kW AEM electrolysis cell products, in the industrial hydrogen field, EVE Hydrogen can provide AEM hydrogen production equipment below 20 standard cubic meters to factories in a single cell and single system manner; In renewable energy hydrogen production projects, EVE Hydrogen can adopt a multi tank single system approach to build MW level hydrogen production equipment with a capacity of over 200 standard cubic meters for green hydrogen projects, providing comprehensive product solutions for various hydrogen usage scenarios.

As a pioneer in domestic AEM hydrogen production, EVE Hydrogen Energy will sign and deliver the first batch of orders for 100kW AEM hydrogen production products in the second quarter of this year. In terms of product development, Yiwei Hydrogen will launch the world's first megawatt level AEM hydrogen production electrolysis cell by the end of this year.
